GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

The SAME-NUT Project Manager / MENAKA Sub-Base Manager works within a multidisciplinary and multisectoral team within the framework of integrated activities for the implementation of the SAME project in the MENAKA region, more precisely in the circle and of MENAKA, entitled “Integrated Resilience Program by Strengthening the Nutritional Security of Pastoral and Agropastoral Households Affected by Conflict and Climatic Hazards in the Circle of MENAKA” under the financing of the WFP, for the achievement of the results below :

1) MENAKA pastoral households produce and process vegetables with high nutritional value

2) The pastoral livestock system in the circle of MENEKA is more productive and more resilient to shocks;

3) Capacities to ensure a healthy, diversified and hygienic diet for women of childbearing age have been improved;

4) The governance of food and nutritional security by regional and decentralized bodies is strengthened.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB

Objective 1: Ensure the administrative, financial and logistical management of the project in close collaboration with the base manager, the logistician and the Gao base administrator

Objective 2: Ensure the coordination and representation of ACF-E and the project

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Level of studies/specific diploma Bac + 5 level in the fields of food safety, zootechnics, nutrition or any other equivalent diploma, and in the field of administrative management.

Specific/technical knowledge desired: Knowledge in project management (and program approach) of Food Security/livelihoods, and Health/nutrition; good knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation; knowledge of WASH is a plus;

Knowledge of the context of Northern Mali, the Gao region and MENAKA

Prior experience required: Experience of at least 5 years in the field in the management, monitoring and evaluation of multi-sectoral projects (SAME, Wash, and/or nutrition, etc.)

Significant experience in the fields of animal husbandry and pastoralism

Skills required: Great ability to coordinate with local actors, partners and ACF-E collaborators;

Great capacity for autonomy, adaptation and listening.

Great organizational capacity and highly developed sense of planning and anticipation;

Great sense of communication;
