Action Against Hunger is an International, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for:

ONE (01) HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT MANAGER (M/F)

  • Base of attachment: Yaoundé
  • Number of positions: 01
  • Contract duration: 12 months
  • Start date: July 2019
  • Supervised by: Head of Mission
  • Location: Extended to relocation
  • Gross salary for the category: According to the Action Against Hunger grid

Purpose of the position:

Define the Human Resources policy of the mission and coordinate its implementation and deployment on all bases in order to provide the best support to the programs In particular, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the definition of mission strategy Oversee personnel administration and payroll
  • Guarantee the recruitment and training of all employees and promote career management;
  • Guarantee the consistency of the organization of work and define the remuneration policy;
  • Implement collective rules and communicate internally;
  • Promote and ensure HR collaboration and coordination with mission partners;
  • Prevent and manage situations of fraud and corruption;
  • Supervise and support the Human Resources team and the house team in the capital and be the functional manager of the HR Manager on the bases.

Profile required

Diplomas/Level of studies/Professional experience:

  • BAC+ 5 in human resources management.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the management/administration of human resources, including at least 2 in the humanitarian sector;
  • Experience in the field of organizational training management and recruitment management would be an asset.

Required Skills :

  • Mastery of the Cameroonian legal framework (labour code, code of labor imps andjob. );
  • Mastery of the fundamentals of collective and individual management of personnel, conflict management, etc.);
  • Good knowledge of labor administration and quality management;
  • Good command of IT management tools (Microsoft Office Pack in particular, Homère HR software, SAGA RH, etc.) and ease of adaptation to new software;
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Capacity for analysis and reporting;
  • Team management and leadership Ability to define and manage HR policies (compensation and benefits, jobs and skills, discipline, training)
  • Excellent ability to manage time and priorities;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Good communication, sense of diplomacy;
  • Ability to advise managers and employees on HR issues.
  • Strength of proposal and good decision-making skills;
  • Demonstrated sense of confidentiality, discretion and ability to listen;
  • Good organizational skills, anticipation and proactivity;
  • Dynamism, Rigour, pragmatism and flexibility;
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE

The Action Against Hunger recruitment procedure includes 3 key steps

  1. A pre-selection based on the file submitted (only candidates whose skills and experience match the profile described in the offer are selected for the written test)
  2. A written technical test
  3. An oral interview
