African Development Bank and Japan offers scholarships 2023

The African Development Bank (AfDB) and Japan Scholarship Program (JADS) is a capacity building program established by the African Development Bank and the Government of Japan. The program provides talented African students with a two-year scholarship opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies at Masters level in the fields of energy, agriculture, health, sustainable development and engineering .

Since applying for this scholarship requires careful preparation and the application periods are very limited (one week in some cases!), we have made the decision to publish this article in advance. This will give you more time to prepare carefully and submit your application on time.

The main objective of the African Development Bank and the Government of Japan is to build human resource capacity in Africa, in line with the Bank’s High Five Strategic Priorities, namely Feed Africa, Light and Power Africa, industrialize Africa, integrate Africa and improve the quality of life of African populations. These priorities are also in line with key Japanese development assistance initiatives.
