AVSF (Agronomists and Veterinarians Without Borders) is looking for:

ONE (1) TOGO/BENIN NATIONAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

A second phase of the Equity Program (www.programme-equite.org) – aimed at contributing to the development of fair trade in West Africa – will begin in October 2019. It operates in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina , Mali as well as Togo and Benin.

Job specification :

The project is looking for a national technical assistant who will be based in Lomé to monitor program activities in Togo and Benin. It must be possible to take up the position around October 15, 2019. He will have a fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal.
Very regular field trips will be required (to Togo as well as to Benin).

Main missions :

-Support partner producer organizations (POs) in the implementation of their production activities,
processing and marketing of their certified products;
-Support the emergence of a representation framework for certified Fair Trade POs in the Togo-Benin area.

Required profile:

-Agronomist or socio-economist with at least 5 years’ experience in the field of organizational and economic strengthening of producer organizations and sectors;
-Mastery of the principles and objectives of fair trade and agroecology.
