Donald Trump, the Republican former president, has sharply accused his Democratic rival Joe Biden of obstructing his campaign by orchestrating legal action against him. Despite assurances of independence coming from the US Justice Department, Trump claims Biden is deliberately trying to indict him to distract his attention from the ongoing campaign.
With scathing rhetoric, Trump called Joe Biden “Joe-la-Crapule” while denouncing his alleged involvement in the legal proceedings. Accused of multiple separate offences, Trump faces allegations of electioneering in the 2020 presidential election, negligence in handling confidential documents, as well as questionable payments to a former adult film actress.

Trump’s reactions to the accusations
Faced with these accusations, the former president maintained his plea of not guilty in all cases, calling them a “witch hunt” orchestrated by the Biden administration. At a rally in New Hampshire, Trump expressed concern about the impact of his future court hearings on his availability for the campaign, illustrating the potential effect of those cases on his presence in the field.
In front of a crowd of ex-servicemen at the rally, Trump garnered enthusiastic support as he denounced the charges against him. The participants shouted in chorus their displeasure at what they consider to be unfounded accusations. Additionally, Trump hinted that a fourth indictment could be announced shortly, relating to allegations of electoral pressure in Georgia after the 2020 election.
The current president, Joe Biden, avoids commenting on the legal problems of his adversary, in order not to fuel the allegations of instrumentalization of justice. However, Trump maintains an offensive stance by pointing the finger at Biden, underscoring concerns surrounding the political implications of these lawsuits on the ongoing presidential campaign.
