Republicans immediately expressed their support for the incumbent president. Kevin McCarthy, the House Minority Leader, voiced his favor for President Trump, as did Jim Jordan, who leads the Judiciary Committee.

Matt Gaetz claims that Donald Trump will soon return to the White House, while Joe Biden will join his son Hunter behind bars following the charges against him.
