Citizenship and International Solidarity Education Mission (ECSI)

BISS (Bolivia Inti – South Sun) est a Nantes NGO involved in the development and dissemination of ecological cooking tools in Africa and South America. These programs aim to improve the sanitary living conditions of vulnerable populations, and to promote the fight against deforestation and climate change. BISS also carries out educational activities for international solidarity and sustainable development in France, thanks to 18 departmental relays and more than 120 volunteers spread throughout France. BISS runs a solidarity shop whose ecological equipment is a vector for raising awareness of our actions, while helping to support the financing of projects in the South.

The person recruited in civic service will support environmental awareness, development education and international solidarity actions in France.

She will perform her duties under the authority of the Director of Bolivia Inti – Sud Soleil and in conjunction with the salaried team.

Candidate’s experience / training

1. Ensure animations, workshops, stands on energy awareness and climate justice

– Animations with schools, associations, general public events…

– Support for the development of courses/training offered on ecological cooking

– Raising awareness of good practices in sustainable development. Design of educational tools and materials, design and facilitation of sessions with various audiences.

– Participation in networks of partners active in education for sustainable development (local authorities, associations, companies): identification of target structures, making contact with these structures.

3. Manage and boost volunteering within the association in collaboration with volunteers from the Board of Directors and the France division.
4. Organize an event on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the association. Support the association’s communication actions: writing newsletters, website, designing various communication tools, etc.

• Animation, training and communication techniques. Experience in event organization would be appreciated.
• At ease to lead activities in front of a varied audience (school, general public, young people, etc.)
• Sensitivity and knowledge of environmental issues and international solidarity
• Project management
• Mastery of computer tools: Word, Excel, layout software
• A certain taste for contact with the public.
• Autonomy in the conduct of activities.
• Creativity and innovation are combined with your pedagogical knowledge.
