Africa is full of talents and influential people whose skills are recognized around the world. Despite the many challenges facing the continent, many Africans manage to rise to positions of responsibility within the world’s largest organizations. In this article, we are going to feature five very influential Africans who are successfully leading these global organizations.

1. Akinwumi Adesina – President of the African Development Bank (AfDB)
Akinwumi Adesina is a Nigerian economist and politician who has served as the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) since 2015. 5. Makhtar Diop – Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC)
Makhtar Diop is a Senegalese economist and politician who became the Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in 2021. Prior to that, he held several senior positions at the World Bank, including Vice President for Africa. Diop is recognized for his work in support of financial inclusion and economic development in Africa.
