Guaranty Trust Bank Named Best Bank In Africa

Financial institution Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) was named Best Bank in Africa by Euromoney at its annual Awards for Excellence on July 10, 2019. It was also voted Best Bank in Nigeria for a record ninth time.

Euromoney is the leading publication dedicated to the growth of international finance. Its Awards of Excellence pay tribute to the best banks in the world by recognizing institutions that have demonstrated leadership, innovation and dynamism in different markets.

“We are delighted and proud to win Euromoney for Best Bank in Africa and Best Bank in Nigeria,” said Segun Agbaje, Chief Executive Officer of GTBank adding that these awards “also testify to our leading role. in the application of world-class corporate governance standards, excellent service quality and innovation in the banking sector in Africa”.

GTBank was created in 1990 in Nigeria, and began operations in 1991. It is established in several African countries including Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Gambia, Liberia, etc.
