The famous Kenyan, Vera Sidika has decided to stop bleaching her skin and regain her original black skin color.
Vera Sidika who is a video extra, shared a new photo of herself on Instagram with her skin much darker than usual.
She captioned it: “Never be defined by your past… It was just a lesson, not a life sentence. It feels good to be back!!! Black does not crack. #Backtoblack #missedmymelanin #stillbeautiful #blackbarbie.”
Nigerian actress Beverly Osu who is known for condemning depigmentation congratulated her on her decision, writing: “Welcome back, boo… Super proud of you for this.”
But a number of people called her out and accused her of altering her photo to appear black. Some told her that she mocked God by easily changing color. Others said she could no longer afford the whitening cream. While others laughed at her for finally confessing that she bleached her skin and wasn’t naturally fair.
