Fans of Lil Wayne’s North American tour say Weezy wasn’t having fun, following reports that the rapper quit his show after around 20 minutes.
While performing at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va. on July 11, Lil Wayne stopped playing mid-song to address the crowd, saying, “I just want people to know that if you wonder, forgive me I’m not used to playing in front of a small audience… and there aren’t many of them… that’s not my swag.
He added, “I don’t know how long I’ll be able to do this tour, but please props up for Blink-182 for including me anyway. It might be my last night, though. Let’s go. When Lil Wayne left the stage, a Blink-182 crew member tweeted, “Lil Wayne just said he was done and left the stage 40 minutes early. The tweet has since been deleted.
No party involved has yet made a statement on the short-lived performance. Subsequently, Young Thus and Mason Ramsey remixed “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.
