On Thursday, June 15, 2023, Johnny Hallyday would have celebrated his 80th birthday. Unfortunately, he passed away from cancer in 2017, leaving behind his family and millions of fans. Several personalities paid tribute to him on his birthday, including Laeticia Hallyday and Linda Hardy. Miss France 1992, who lived with the iconic singer for a few months, opened up about their relationship on the show “Chez Jordan” this week.
“It’s important to understand that it’s difficult for people to grasp, but when you’re by the side of someone famous, you’re closer to the person than the celebrity. Johnny was incredibly generous, with a great kindness,” she shared.
Linda Hardy also reminisced about her very first encounter with Johnny Hallyday. “He charmed me when I met him in Ramatuelle, at his house. It was a time when he was really struggling, and he was flirting with me a little. I distinctly remember, at the age of my early twenties – there was no ill intent on my part – but as he was really letting himself go, I told him, ‘But have you seen me? Me, my youth, my freshness, being someone very healthy, and look at you today,'” she recalled.
But Johnny Hallyday shrugged off her comment. “And he looked straight into my eyes with that profound gaze he had. He said, ‘Is that the problem?’ And he told me, ‘If that’s the problem, it’s not a problem.’ And three months later, he came to get me. And he was… the Johnny we know in his greatest moments,” said Linda Hardy.
Jordan De Luxe then asked if Linda Hardy had suffered during their breakup. “Not more than that. You know, separations are always difficult; it’s never something simple,” she responded.
