On Monday, May 29, a peaceful evening at Hollywood Beach, Florida, was abruptly disrupted by a shooting during Memorial Day celebrations. Nine people, including three children, were injured in this tragic event that occurred around 6:30 PM ET in the 1200 block area of N Broadwalk.
According to the information provided by the Hollywood Police, a dispute between two groups is believed to have sparked the incident, which quickly escalated into a horrifying scene of gunfire. The police managed to apprehend one suspect but are actively searching for an individual described as a black male with dreadlocks, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and camouflage shorts.

Yanet Obarrio Sanchez, spokesperson for the Memorial Healthcare System, confirmed that among the nine injured, there were six adults and three children, all in stable condition after receiving necessary medical care.
The local Police Department is urging residents, via Twitter, to avoid the area between Johnson and Garfield streets, as well as the Broadwalk, to allow investigators to effectively work on this critical case. A significant number of police personnel have been deployed, and a designated area has been set up at the Johnson St and N Ocean bus loop for those searching for their loved ones.
