Main goals

The incumbent of this position will support the Project Manager by ensuring that all activities are carried out in compliance with objectives, beneficiaries, budget and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Regularly check the status of the case management database, conduct case reviews and provide feedback to the database manager
• Organize regular and special case management meetings with the Case Manager Supervisor and Case Managers to discuss complex cases and general issues related to their duties
• Conduct regular case audits to ensure cases are and remain in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures and minimum case management standards
• Organize regular meetings with community structures (Platform, RECOPE, facilitators, etc.) colleagues linked to protection monitoring in order to discuss general challenges linked to their tasks and the identification of protection cases
• Review data and information collected during protection monitoring and regularly compile protection reports highlighting gaps, concerns and trends to inform future programming

• Provide technical guidance and support to protection staff, ensuring the quality of implementation of activities and services, as well as compliance with protection standards;
  • Coordinate and supervise psychosocial support activities carried out in listening centers, Safe Spaces and Child Friendly Spaces
  • Provide guidelines to community facilitators and social workers in the planning and implementation of participatory community activities, awareness sessions and campaigns and in general communication with communities
  • Identify capacity building needs of protection personnel, assess their knowledge and skills and accordingly provide learning opportunities through training, workshops and/or simulation exercises
  • Assist CP and GBV supervisors to develop and/or update protection tools and training materials to meet project needs
  • Assist the Project Manager/Program Manager/Supervisor in developing required donor reports, providing relevant information on protection-related issues
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant partners and other project stakeholders working in the coverage district
  • At the request of the supervisor, proactively participate in relevant coordination meetings at the district level
  • Perform other tasks not listed relating to the position

Job Requirements

Qualifications required:

• BAC+3 in social sciences
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the protection sector (including at least 1 year as a supervisor)
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Good leadership skills
• Strong technical knowledge in general protection (e.g. protection monitoring, case management, psychosocial support activities)
• Respect and non-discriminatory attitude
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong report writing skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team;
• Fluent in French and other dialects of the far north of Cameroon. Knowledge of kotoko and Muskoum is an asset.
• Ability to excel and analyze statistics
• Good writing and expression skills
• Good computer knowledge in word, windows, internet, powerpoint, etc.
• Good organizational and classification capacity for hard and soft files
• Be of Cameroonian nationality
