Tasks

Under the authority of the Director of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation and in close collaboration with the Program Advisor and the support functions, he (she) will coordinate the project teams and facilitate the implementation of actions with a network of public and private partners.

He (she) will be responsible for:

– Plan and coordinate the operational implementation of project program activities at the strategic, operational and financial level, based on the objectives and approaches defined in the project documents.

– Develop and coordinate project monitoring/evaluation plans in collaboration with your team and implementation partners.

– Measure the impact of projects and develop capitalization tools.

– Facilitate and facilitate the connection of public and private strategic partners involved in the implementation of projects.

– Guarantee the quality of partnership agreements and agent contracts, as well as the execution of works/activities according to the donor/HELVETAS procedures in force.

– Ensure the preparation and quality of the various planning documents and strategic/technical reports requested by the institution and/or donors.

– Support and strengthen project teams in planning/carrying out their tasks.

– Ensure the financial management of projects.

– Ensure a front-line role in internal control.

– Participate in coordination meetings led by the Country Director.

– Work in close collaboration with the Program Advisor and support functions of HELVETAS Benin.

Professional skills and experience and personal qualities

Professional experiences :

Have a Bac +5 in the field of rural development or rural economy.

Have at least 10 years of experience in project management and at least 5 years of experience on agricultural entrepreneurship projects.

Have experience in a similar position of at least 2 years in an insecure area.

Professional skills :

Master project tools (logical framework, timeline, budget, etc.).

Master the tools for planning and monitoring activities.

Have the ability to develop, coordinate and interpret monitoring/evaluation tools.

Have in-depth knowledge of entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector.

Have excellent practical knowledge of IT tools: word processing, spreadsheet, internet

Personal abilities:

Have relational skills to facilitate networking between public and private partners and those active in civil society organizations.

Demonstrate good critical and prospective analysis and negotiation skills

Demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills.

Mastering at least one of the main languages ​​of the intervention area would be an asset

Have a sense of organization, team spirit and tolerance.

Be able to work under pressure.
