Recruitment of one (01) Manager
The Site Manager coordinates and directs the activities of the site as the first person in charge. He/She ensures that quality services are provided to children, youth, families and communities while respecting the vision, mission and values of the organization. He/She directs the planning of site interventions and supervises its implementation.
The site manager also leads the development of the budget and its execution. He/She monitors and evaluates activities in accordance with organizational standards and strategies; he/she represents the Organization with local authorities, partners and communities. He/She supervises the coordinators of all the program units of the site.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Planning and Reporting-Program Development
Lead the planning of on-site interventions, in line with the organization’s mission, policies, strategies and available resources;
Coordinate, supervise the site team and ensure the proper implementation of interventions;
Work closely with the national office program team who provide technical oversight of programs on site;
Facilitate the team’s ownership of the organization’s documents, policies and strategies;
Ensure that monitoring and evaluation mechanisms are in place and functioning properly;
Develop concept notes, produce periodic reports as well as statistics on the interventions carried out on the site;
Document and share the good practices developed on his site with his colleagues to promote organizational learning;
Support the implementation of SOS Children’s Villages policies and quality standards;
Ensure the implementation of child protection and safeguarding policies in its program
Budget planning – Administrative and financial management
Lead planning and budgeting while ensuring the identification of local funding opportunities (such as in-kind donations and government grants);
Ensure the appropriate allocation and use of resources;
Ensure compliance with financial and administrative procedures;
Ensure the preparation of financial reports and the implementation of recommendations from financial supervision and external audit;
Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of site infrastructure.

Ensure implementation and compliance with the standards of the human resources manual and internal regulations;
Guide and support all employees according to the organization’s policies and directives;
Empower your employees and provide them with favorable working conditions;
Promote the development of strong links between all employees;
Contribute to the recruitment and reassignment/mobility process of staff;
Ensure orientation, training and support for team members, and especially care professionals;
Ensure the establishment of an effective performance management system, notably through the development of individual work plans and performance evaluation interviews;
Encourage employees to invest in their personal development while providing them with the support they need to carry out their tasks.
Partnership and representation
Represent SOS Children’s Villages in the locality to authorities, partners and communities;
Represent the Organization in local networks and advocacy initiatives;
Conduct public relations activities to publicize the organization;
Participate in communication and fundraising activities in collaboration with National Management;
Develop the partnership at the local level and promote the visibility of the organization’s actions.
Qualifications and skills
Have a BAC+4/5 in organizational management, sociology, psychology, project management or any diploma accepted as equivalent;
Justify relevant and proven experience in team management (minimum 07 years);
Experience in hospital structure management would be a real asset;
Competence in communication, negotiation and development of partnerships;
Competence in quality approach in the social field;
Good knowledge of the field of child rights protection and protection systems;
Skills in human resources management and financial management;
Mastery of the computer tool (office pack);
Good writing skills and ability to prepare reports and strategic documents;
Strong demonstrated ability to lead and work in a team.
