I – CONTEXT
Coca-Cola Donga Bottling Company SA (CCDBC) is a brewing industry located in the Free Industrial Zone of Sèmè-Podji. A member of The Coca-Cola Company’s network of bottlers, it specializes in the production and marketing of Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta and Schweepes soft drinks. In order to strengthen and energize its teams, Coca-cola Donga Bottling Company is recruiting a Quality Safety Environment (QSE) Manager for its Technical Department:
1-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The QSE manager works under the direct responsibility of the Technical Director with the permanent collaboration of the technical team of the Partner The Coca Cola Company. Its main role is to ensure compliance with the requirements for Quality, Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety and the environment.
To this end, its functional relationships are:
Department: Technical Direction
Line manager: Technical Director
Supervisory responsibility: Head of Quality Department
System service manager
Head of the Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Department
Collaborative link: Directors, Heads of Services, Agents, etc.
2-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Develop the quality management system, food safety, occupational health and safety, environment, and the corresponding support projects.
– Participate in the definition of QHSE policies for the site.
– Develop and implement programs relating to international standards adopted by the factory, in terms of QHSE, such as FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001…
– Develop and implement QHSE-related processes and procedures, and ensure their application by internal teams and stakeholders (service providers, suppliers, etc.)
– Identify, manage and set up a system for monitoring performance indicators for activities relating to the quality and safety of foodstuffs, the prevention of health and safety at work, including environmental performance
– Be responsible for compliance and monitoring of the plant’s activities with the applicable legal requirements, as well as those of the partners, in particular those of the Coca-Cola company, in terms of QHSE.
– Ensure normative and regulatory monitoring in terms of QHSE
Management and organization of the production site
– Relaying the objectives of General Management and ensuring that a favorable social climate is maintained within his department.
– Deploy Coca-Cola Company programs on the site in terms of QHSE.
– Ensure the hierarchical and functional management of the QHSE function
– Take charge of relations with the main customers and suppliers of the company (reception on the site, support for industrial subcontracting activities, etc.) in conjunction with the purchasing and commercial departments.
Organizational performance and optimization
– Define and monitor with the Head of Production the main delegated performance indicators to assess the proper functioning of the entire production workshop.
– Monitor the quality of industrial activity (product quality, process, environmental management) and implement a continuous improvement policy.
– Collect, synthesize and analyze all QHSE data and report to Management.
– Develop procedures and operating methods to support the QHSE system.
– Implement training, awareness and prevention programs to reduce quality, safety and environmental incidents.
– Prevent industrial risks, enforce hygiene and working conditions.
– Ensure the quality of products from production to their release on the market
– Ensure consumer satisfaction by guaranteeing irreproachable product quality, meeting partner specifications and consumer expectations.
Management of human resources and QHSE systems
– Help the General Management and that of Human Resources to define the company’s policy in terms of quality, environmental protection and safety (participation in the implementation of QHSE systems, etc.).
– Take charge of local relations with organizations and partners of the production site (administration, inspection and certification body, etc.).
– Keep a watch on the evolution of standards and regulations in terms of quality and safety.
– Participate with the Director of Human Resources, the Works Councils (CE), in meetings with the Staff Delegates (DP) and the Health-Safety-Working Conditions Committees (CHSCT).
– Supervise the QSE teams: lead, motivate and ensure adherence,
– Estimate the training needs of the teams with the Human Resources Department and participate in their training and any other tasks entrusted by the Technical Director.
3-Profile required
Diploma
You must hold a bachelor’s degree or more from an engineering school or a scientific training university.
Experiences
– Have at least ten (10) years of experience in the field, particularly in a soft drink manufacturing plant.
– Having held a QSE manager position with a Coca-Cola bottler would be a major asset.
SKILLS
Have good communication and negotiation skills; – Be result-oriented; – Have a very good managerial and strategic vision; – Ability to work in a team; – Be rigorous, available and pragmatic; – Have a sense of organization and contact; – Be autonomous and proactive; – Know how to lead, delegate and anticipate; – Have a good command of the office pack.
