In recent years, the success rate for the baccalaureate (BAC) in Senegal has been considered scandalous by the country’s authorities. Since 2009 the national rate has not exceeded 25%.
In 2018 and 2019, the results of the Senegalese baccalaureate in general education recorded an overall success rate of 35.9%.
This year 2019, this high school of excellence has marked the difference by displaying 100% success within it for the technical series.
The Diourbel school has recorded a success rate of 100%. Indeed the sixty (60) candidates in series S1 and S2, have all obtained their sesames.
For the S1 series, out of the twenty-seven (27) candidates, eight (8) Very Good mentions, twelve (12) Good mentions, six (6) A Good mentions, and one Fair mention were counted.
As for the S2 series, out of the thirty-three (33) candidates presented, four (4) Very Good mentions, thirteen (13) Good mentions, fifteen (15) Fairly Good mentions, and one passable mention were recorded .
Senegal, like several West African countries, has two types of baccalaureate, the scientific baccalaureate and the literary one.
