Pennridge Police in Pennsylvania, United States, uncovered a shocking discovery of seven children, aged 4 to 16, living in unsanitary and inhumane conditions. The parents, Shawn and Crystal Robertson, were arrested for endangering the welfare of a child but were later released after posting a bail amounting to 10% of the charges, totaling $100,000.

Law enforcement was alerted by two young girls who had ventured into an abandoned caravan before being led to the family home. Upon arrival, officers encountered a foul odor and discovered dozens of rats confined in cages, along with feces scattered on the floor. A refrigerator had even been locked to prevent the children from accessing their food.

Subsequently, five more children were found, four of whom were confined to a room at the back of the house. All but one were clinically malnourished, two had contracted Covid-19, and three exhibited symptoms of acute viral syndrome with associated fever. Moreover, some of the children required extensive dental care, while others needed complete head shaving due to various hair-related issues, such as severe infestations.
