With 69 projects in 22 countries of intervention, in the same way as in the trades that it develops and implements in France, the French Red Cross internationally includes all its missions in a plan of sustainable humanitarian action. This translates into an articulation of emergency, post-emergency, post-crisis and reconstruction activities aimed at maximum efficiency. The objective is to carry out actions with lasting effects and to enable populations to regain their full autonomy.

Tasks :

The capacity building delegate is responsible for:

  1. Carry out a diagnosis of the health system (skills, services, existing funding);
  2. Establish an appropriate empowerment plan in collaboration with the actors involved in the process accompanied by realistic indicators;
  3. Build capacity and support health and support staff in their daily tasks and planning
  4. Involve and promote the sharing of information from this process through dynamic approaches
  5. Ensure reporting and capitalization of the approach
  6. Other tasks: the delegate may be required to monitor and provide occasional support on other tasks

  • Under the responsibility of the head of sub-delegation of Kaedi

  • In close collaboration with the health/nutrition project manager
  • In conjunction with the head office and regional technical referents in support of the implementation of this empowerment strategy

Candidate’s experience / training The profile of the candidateTraining:

  • Training in Public Health with international experience.
  • Very good knowledge of health, administrative and community systems
  • Mastery of existing health policies
  • Ability to work in a team and in difficult/isolated contexts
  • Knowledge of logistics, project management and HR management
  • Knowledge of the area of ​​intervention appreciated
  • Mastery of the pack Office
  • Knowledge of the Red Cross movement appreciated

  • Perseverance and proactivity
  • Taste for exchanges with health, administrative and community authorities
  • Patience, diplomacy and adaptability
  • Excellent intercultural communication skills, public expression;
  • Taste for support and skill transfer
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain partnership relations.

Wage conditions

Remuneration:

  • According to the collective agreement of the French Red Cross
  • 15% expatriation bonus included
  • Per diem: 24 €
  • Year-end bonus
  • 10% job insecurity bonus

Leave:

  • 5 weeks of CP/year
  • 21 days of RTT/year

Other advantages :

  • 100% coverage of home air tickets – country of assignment on departure and return from mission – vacation 06 months
  • Financial envelope for taking breaks 03 months – 09 months depending on the mission

Insurance:

  • Affiliation to Social Security via the Caisse des Français de l’Etranger – CFE
  • Obligatory French Red Cross mutual insurance company (LAMIE) with 75% coverage by the employer (25 euros per month remaining payable by the employee).
  • Medical assistance and repatriation (IMA Assistance) + provident insurance (death/disability)

Online training

To get to know the Red Cross Movement better, we invite you to follow two online training courses, free and accessible to all. The completion of these training courses is a plus in your application: WORC (World of Red Cross and Red Crescent): this training course covers subjects such as the origin and history of the Movement, its fundamental principles, the emblem, the Federation international community, the ICRC and national societies. Stay Safe, on the other hand, aims to develop a common culture of security management within the Movement.
