The Government of Senegal is recruiting for the PDCEJ the Profile below:

> MICRO-FINANCE EXPERT

MAIN MISSION
The Micro-finance Expert is responsible for the “Micro-finance” component of the Project. He is placed under the authority of the Project Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating activities related to the financing of Project targets. He is based in Dakar and will make frequent trips to the Project intervention areas. He will sign a performance contract with the Project Manager.

REQUIRED PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE
– Hold a university degree (BAC+5 or more) in finance/banking or economics/development;
– Have at least 10 years of professional experience in the field of microfinance;
– Have a good knowledge of the issue of employment and Agribusiness;
– Have mastery of computer tools and common software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, MS-Project, etc.) and
– Have the ability to work under pressure and in a team.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Coordinate and ensure the implementation and monitoring of
the agreement with the partner banks/DFS;
– Coordinate and ensure the implementation and monitoring of contracts with operators of non-financial services;
– Ensure compliance with and application of the provisions mentioned in the project financing operations manual and ensure that it is updated
– Analyze and validate the project files of young and women promoters for financing;
– Participate in studies and analyzes of any request for technical and/or financial support from financial partners;
– Analyze periodic reports produced by financial partners;
– Support project targets by connecting with financing structures;
– Contribute to the drafting and implementation of performance contracts with financial partners;
– Develop synergies with the various support structures for the microfinance sector;
– Ensure the institutional support of financial partners;
– Organize field visits to financial partners and project leaders and
– Ensure proper implementation of non-financial and financial support to project promoters.

Duration
Initial contract of one (1) year, renewable on the basis of performance until the end of the Project (a priori five years).

Workplace
Position based in Dakar with travel in the project intervention area: regions of Kaolack, Thiès, Ziguinchor, and Dakar Banlieue.
