The Very Touching Trailer Of Rapper MHD’s Debut Film Unveiled

While the rapper MHD is still imprisoned since last January, suspected by the police of being involved in a fatal attack between two rival groups in July 2018, the trailer for his film entitled “My brother” has just been released. be unveiled and we can say that this film promises to be rather poignant.

We were talking to you not long ago about the arrest of the artist MHD by the police, accused of having participated in the assassination of the young Cameroonian Loïc Kamtchouang. Fortunately for the singer, he had already finished filming his film, before his legal problems stuck in his throat. Who could then have imagined that the 24-year-old artist, accustomed to joyful performances on Afro-trap rhythms, would turn out to be such an interesting actor, playing the main role of the film in a dramatic register?

Indeed, in the film entitled “My brother” by director Julien Abraham, MHD, whose real name is Mohamed Sylla, plays the role of Teddy, a young man accused of the murder of his father and imprisoned in a closed education center. In an hour and a half, we discover the rapper confronted with a brutal world, lost among other young people in difficulty, trying to escape this universe which is unlivable to him.

In the film, we navigate between the ferocity of closed educational centres, the power struggles between young people, parental abandonment, the dreams of a lost young person and suffering. The rest of the cast is made up of a group of young actors, one of whom shares the bill with MHD, actor Darren Muselet, who plays the role of Enzo, a young prisoner with a heavy past and violent and unpredictable behavior. Initially enemies, the two young men will end up joining forces in order to flee from the center and go to Amsterdam…

This film raises questions about the place of young people in educational centers and their quest for freedom, how to give hope to a destroyed youth who thinks they have nothing left to lose?

Even if he will not be able to promote his film because of his incarceration, it is very likely that the rapper MHD will brilliantly sign his first appearance in the cinema.
