Theft of Lion Head from Winterthur Park Fountain Sparks Investigation



During a routine cleaning at Lindengutpark, an employee of the city of Winterthur noticed that one of the two lion heads adorning a fountain had gone missing. The theft occurred overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.

The fountain, dating back to the 19th century, had a lion head made of steel, weighing approximately 30 kilograms and valued at around 10,000 francs. The municipal police of Winterthur provided these details in a statement, urging any witnesses or individuals with information about the whereabouts of the stolen head to come forward.
